The Château de Versailles, located 55km from the Château d’Esclimont, was named a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site over 30 years ago. Created in the 17th century, this royal residence is a French architectural marvel that never fails to astonish visitors from around the world.

The Cathedral of Our Lady of Chartres, which rises majestically from the Beauce plain, is a famous Gothic Catholic church built in the 12th and 13th centuries. With its outstanding sculpted décors and stained glass windows, it has been called a “masterpiece” and “the high point of French Gothic art” by UNESCO, who classified it as a World Heritage Site.
Equally delightful is the “Chartres Light Show”, which enlivens the city with colourful lights and music all summer long. Do not miss it!

The Rambouillet commune lies on the ouskirts of Paris, on the edge of a large state forest which covers over 14,000 hectares of different tree species and gorgeous scenery. You can explore the park on foot, bicycle or horseback, through a multitude of natural paths and trails.
